As with every museum, the MAC requires precise, high-performing climate control to preserve its treasures. But we also had a goal to reduce energy. With Pro’s full scope of capabilities, they developed solutions to meet our goals of managing climate control on a per-room basis, optimize energy savings, improve our security system and increase efficiency with an integrated solution. Pro now manages 90 percent of our service and maintenance remotely, providing the MAC continued cost savings.

NORTHWEST MUSEUM OF ARTS AND CULTURE
The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture requires precise, high-performing climate control to preserve its varied collections and exhibits. But their original method for climate control was manual adjustment and “always on”, which was not an economical or practical way of maintaining the exhibits through their automation system. Pro Mechanical Services worked with the MAC to help meet their goals to reduce energy using existing components and provide centralized and precision control over various areas and specific rooms building wide.
Since completion of the initial project, Pro Mechanical has continued to provide HVAC service and DDC maintenance including continuously commissioning to further reduce energy consumption. Outdoor lighting has been added to the DDC with dynamic scheduling, as well as fine tuning control logic for tighter control.
